Background:
Crawforddyke Primary School was built in 1957 to a design and specification that was popular throughout Scotland at that time.It is situated in a large campus bounded on three sides by houses. There is a large grassy area around most of the school and a large playground area to the rear. The building consists of 16 well-proportioned rooms and 3-hutted classrooms. It has a large dining room, a large, well-equipped gym/assembly hall and a well-proportioned stage with a sound and lighting system. The school follows the suggested guidelines which use movement as a medium of learning and expression in gymnastics, dance, games skills and active health. The school aims to offer a happy, safe and secure environment in a family atmosphere. .
